Water Tower #5, 7" x 5" |
To celebrate, I would like to give away a small art quilt made just for this occasion. Made of hand-dyed and commercial cotton, "Water Tower #5" measures 7" x 5" and illustrates a scene from New York City. The winner will be chosen at random from everyone who comments on this post. Just let me know one of your favourite posts on my blog, and why. You can identify it by date or by topic.
I know some of you run into trouble when trying to post a comment. Apparently this is because you need to enable third-party cookies on your computer. The technicalities are beyond my (tiny) field of competence.
And sometimes the home page scrolls up and hides the bottom of the post you're trying to read. I find that "reloading" solves this problem. Or, you can choose the "Classic" presentation by clicking that option, upper left. The default presentation is "Mosaic" which is sometimes glitchy.
If you would like to enter this contest and find that you are unable to publish a comment to this post, just click here. You will be taken to the contact page of my website, and you can post your comment there instead.
Deadline for entry is midnight, March 13, and the winner of the give-away will be announced on March 14. Fingers crossed!

Oh boy, do I have my fingers crossed! I really connect with your work, Heather, and I felt like I hit the jackpot when I discovered your blog a month or so ago and became a follower. I particularly like the post announcing your profile on TextileArtist.org. I was happy to get to know more about one of my favorite textile artists (that's you!), AND I was excited to learn about another textile art blog.
Another favorite post is the one about the directory of Montreal galleries. I live in northwestern Vermont, about a 1 1/4 hour drive from Montreal. My husband and I have talked about taking some art-focused day trips to the city, and the directory is going to help us get that planned.
I had hoped to get up there to see your show and the SAQA show this week, but other obligations got in the way. But I continue to enjoy your blog and your website portfolio. Thanks, Heather!
This is a lovely piece and very generous of you to offer it.
I think my favourite post is the Camden Town one, probably because I know the area and really enjoyed seeing it from a different perspective.
I found you through the TextileArtist.org and am so glad that I did.
My favorite post is from the blog is from the 2 January, Open Door, Riga. It was the first picture I found of your blog. I LOVE your art and I am glad I found your blog!
Greetings from Germany, Sabine
