I find this graphic to be very helpful in clarifying copyright issues. What is the distinction between being inspired by the work of another artist and appropriating the work of another artist? This is really useful. Copyright laws may not be the same in all countries but what this does is emphasis the ethics, something we should all have at the forefront of our minds when creating original work.
